DASSY raises the bar: SBTi validation and Ecovadis Gold in one breakthrough year

DASSY Europe partnered with Möbius to build a credible sustainability strategy, resulting in SBTi-validated climate targets, an EcoVadis Gold Medal and a robust carbon footprint system.

DASSY
Sustainability targets

In 2025, DASSY Europe, a leading workwear manufacturer, achieved multiple sustainability milestones with the support of Möbius. Together, we developed a robust climate strategy that led to the validation of DASSY’s science-based targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming alignment with the Paris Agreement. In the same year, DASSY was awarded an EcoVadis Gold Medal, placing the company among the top 5% performers in sustainability worldwide. On top of this, the complete corporate carbon footprint calculation (CCF) was integrated in the Carbon+Alt+Delete tool for three consecutive years.

This case highlights how Möbius assisted DASSY in turning sustainability ambition into measurable impact through collaboration, expertise and long-term commitment.

Strategic challenge

To maintain trust, remain competitive and future-proof its business, DASSY had the need to evolve from standalone sustainability initiatives to a structured, measurable and externally validated sustainability strategy. Therefore, DASSY decided to engage with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and EcoVadis, two globally recognised benchmarks for credible climate action and sustainability management. The backbone of these two benchmarks was the establishment of a robust, automated process for calculating the corporate carbon footprint.

The support from Möbius helped us sharpen our climate ambitions and translate them into a clear, sciencebased strategy. Thanks to their guidance, our SBTi validation became a smooth and wellstructured process.

Approach

1. Carbon+Alt+Delete implementation:

To ensure accurate and scalable carbon footprint reporting, Möbius implemented DASSY’s Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) calculations in the Carbon+Alt+Delete tool across three consecutive years. After setting up the environment in the tool, Möbius developed customised data collection templates to guarantee complete and comparable input. The 2022 data was imported as a baseline, validating emission factors and results while assigning responsibilities to data owners. Together with DASSY, Möbius refined calculation methodologies and templates and established an automated data collection process for future reporting cycles. This enabled the seamless integration of 2023 and 2024 emissions data, paving the way for consistent, efficient and reliable carbon accounting in the years ahead.

2. Validation of SBTi targets:

Möbius supported DASSY in setting and submitting near-term Science-Based Targets (SBTs), which were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). As a European workwear manufacturer with a Scope 3–intensive footprint, 94% of DASSY’s emissions stem from its value chain, mainly from purchased fabrics and packaging. After calculating DASSY’s full greenhouse gas inventory across all scopes, Möbius performed simulations and feasibility assessments and developed a realistic yet ambitious decarbonisation roadmap. Through this structured approach, DASSY committed to absolute emission reductions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3, supported by actionable levers such as renewable electricity, energy efficiency, recycled materials and supplier engagement.

Targets validated by SBTi:

  • DASSY Europe BV commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50,4% by 2032 from a 2022 base year.
  • DASSY Europe BV commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services 30% within the same timeframe.

3. EcoVadis reassessment

To strengthen DASSY’s sustainability performance and transparency further, Möbius guided the company through a successful EcoVadis reassessment process. We began by reviewing the previous EcoVadis submission and identifying gaps across the four assessment themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Through targeted consultations with key stakeholders, we validated existing practices and gathered missing data and supporting documentation, including KPIs, policies, and actions. Möbius consolidated these insights into a structured internal sustainability report, strengthening DASSY’s evidence base and aligning policies with EcoVadis requirements. The enhanced documentation and improved sustainability governance supported an EcoVadis Gold Medal.

Results

With support from Möbius, DASSY has taken a significant step forward in structuring and communicating its sustainability performance. The company now has validated science-based climate targets, providing a clear and credible pathway to reducing emissions across its operations and supply chain. Its carbon footprint reporting has been professionalised through the implementation of the Carbon+Alt+Delete tool, enabling consistent, data-driven monitoring year after year. In parallel, DASSY strengthened its ESG transparency and gained external recognition by increasing its EcoVadis score by 15 points, earning the EcoVadis Gold Medal and ranking among the top 5% of companies assessed. These achievements demonstrate DASSY’s commitment to responsible growth and establish a solid foundation for continued sustainability progress.
